I think for basic care/injury concerns, I believe Carespot is a solid choice. After my last visit, I feel an area to improve upon is how to handle the educated or knowledgeable client. By this I mean, the client who has had years, possibly decades, living with a chronic condition may very well be the “expert” in the room as regards that condition. For a staff member to spend the majority of the exam reviewing a long list of dangers regarding a requested medication and even let the client know that notes will be placed in the file on these warnings is not what I call best practice. I appreciated that I did get the prescription I needed but my alternative from past experience to “wait it out” as I was counseled would only bring me to a point of severe illness, high fever (104 plus), and risk for septicemia. So, less lecture, more questions with discussion would be better. The staff member did not know my full background and only limited information in a year-long file. I did try to explain the cause for visit and why it was unusual, without much success, but such is life. Overall, I think healthcare is a most challenging field to work in so I’m not unhappy with treatment. I’m also well on my way to recovery as the medicine is doing the job. My recommendation for all Carespot staff is to read, ‘Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers’ by Robert Sapolsky, a brilliant science writer. Practitioners can use it as much as their clients. Thank you.

It’s my second time in one of the locations in less that 1 month, the 2nd one the doctor said I can call if I was feeling better because it’s was my second time there, my results come back today and I have to call them and ask if I can talk to her because I’m not feeling better (as she said to me) and this lady who I was talking said that in the notes that I have to come back to the ER if I don’t get better; how it’s this possible? I went days ago and I can’t talk with any medical about it because I have to come back and paid for a 3rd time? I think that you guys should fix this type of things, it’s not possible that I can’t even talk with the specialist about this when I was there less than 5 days ago and I still don’t feeling well about it.

I had a bad laceration that needed stitches. I was seen quickly and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The doctor made it a point to explain everything he was doing and to try and make me feel comfortable and calm, as I was very distressed over my injury. I appreciated the attention and time that was given to me.

Because I had came back a little after a week after I took the medication because it did not work. And I do not have insurance and obviously everyone is going through major difficult times with the coronavirus and not working. And when I returned since they already had my information on what was going on they easily could have came out and told me that there was nothing more that they could do with the rash I had and should have bin kind hearted enough to tell me to go to another doctor or gemologist. But instead they took me back and told me in the exam room told me that and then charged me another $120 when they once again new I had no insurance and the situation with coronavirus! I was the only patient there also so it wasn’t like anyone else was there.
