Everyone was very nice, except my 86 year old lost his glasses there.

I was a little irritated because the provider kept telling me I should’ve gone to my primary care doctor. She said this even though I explained multiple times that I was a student and due to the circumstances of coronavirus I was not in the same town as my primary care doctor. I was only able to talk to my primary care via telehealth and they recommended I go to an urgent care for in-person care. Although I hadn’t mentioned it, I’m currently in medical school and understand her point of view. However, I think in a time like coronavirus not everyone (like students) has access to their primary physicians and may be sent to urgent cares due to the limitations of telehealth and the providers could be a little more understanding.

Your staff was amazing. That being said… I’ve got severely painful second degree burns on my entire left shoulder and since my insurance deductible is high and does not cover hospital ER expenses until I pay close to $1000 first, my options were rather limited. My insurance does cover a visit here, thankfully. Or so I thought. Even though I loved most your staff, how the heck can you send me away with nothing else but an anti-inflammatory drug & antibiotics? I was told they had no say in the matter; telling me I needed to check myself into a hospital ER so they could manage the pain. I understand you having stipulations/restrictions/limitations to prescribing narcotic pain relief. But completely not allowing any pain management whatsoever is ridiculous! My whole shoulder is raw flesh with 2nd(some 3rd) degree burns & I’m told that I would have to go to the hospital just for some pain relief?!?!? Makes me wonder how much my insurance was billed for that visit…. and if they know you didn’t do much. Friendly staff and no wait time was good. But why would I refer someone to you if you’re going to send them elsewhere for treatment. May as well refer then directly to the ER.
