I showed up for a COVID19 test for work. My appointment was scheduled for 230pm and I showed up at 1230pm. I was first greeted with the safety procedures for COVID19, which is totally acceptable, the rest of the visit was horrible. First off I’m told that I have 5o do a Fit fir duty test and that I would be paying for it. After explaining that I did not need that and that I wasn’t paying for a physical I had to call my work to get the crewing manager on the phone to explain what was going on. After that I was then told that the test could not be done there because they did not have the proper test that my company was looking for, another call to the crewing manager and she referred the nurse to who she needed to talk to about the test. I was then informed that they could do the test and the FFD physical. I sat down and waited, filled out the necessary paperwork and waited longer. I ended up waiting for 2 hours before I talked to the lady at the desk who informed me that there was still one person infront of me before I was seen. This is now 2.5 hours and I’m being told my appointment might be well after 230 that was scheduled. I explained to her that its really nice to have me sit in a lobby filled with people to wait for a simply test and that my family was sitting in the car for 3 hours waiting for me to finish a simple test. It was totally unprofessional to take someone 2.5 hours before their appointment and then not tell them that they would be there 3.5 hours before being seen. The nurse who did the FFD exam was quick about it after I told her that its pointless to even do the exam I am already cleared FFD. I know someone has to pay for clinics and I understand how billing works but the complete lack of professionalism with those that i had to deal with would mean that I never come bavk there.
