My x-rays were ‘crap’ according to the specialist i had to follow up with. Had to get new ones the next day delaying time sensitive treatment

I usually have a pleasant visit anytime i come here. However, my last visit changed my opinion. I came in for Covid testing and felt like me getting was scolded. I understand that testing is limited but i shared with the nurse that i was in direct contact with a family member who has tested positive. They went on to share that the definition of “contact” varies and that it doesn’t guarantee me getting a tested. I asked if I should leave and just go to a drive thru test site where i am sure i won’t be treated or told that me being in contact isn’t something to take serious. I also work in healthcare and fully aware of the dire seriousness of this situation, so it was very disappointing to have a fellow healthcare worker downplay my reason to come out of social distancing & isolation to be scolded for a test. Doctor seemed pleasant until she shoved the swab down my nose with no warning of how uncomfortable it would be. Damn, what healthcare professional doesn’t talk to the patient of what they might get down and how it feels. Extremely disappointed, especially how we are living in times where this SHOULD be taken serious. As a healthcare worker, i am sadden from my experience and feel even sadder for those that may not know the ins and outs of healthcare that might be okay with this treatment or walk out feeling hopeless. I expected better. I won’t be back.
