Heard the doctor and the nurse gossiping about me through the door wondering why I had gone there when I was from out of town while I was having a flair up from a bulging disk and a pinched nerve. Doctor came in barely assessed the situation just started naming off medications. Sent me on my way with a topical gel usually used for joint paint where the joint is directly under the skin not buried deep in the spine. Also gave me some sort of muscle relaxer baclofin and told me to call the next day if it didn’t work. I saw no changes and had no relief but I needed to get home as I had already stayed longer than expected due to this flare up. Ended up having to go to my doctor upon returning home because it was just getting worse. My doctor was furious at the literal trash medicines the doctor at the care spot gave me telling me to throw the medications in the trash. She in turn gave me a steroid pack of prednisone and a stronger muscle relaxer in which I didn’t even need to use because the prednisone did the trick. Between the office visit and the medications I spent over 100$ for absolutely nothing. May I recommend that the doctor spends a little more time with the patient assessing the situation and not judging them for being out of town and in their office complaining about pain.

I realize we are going through a pandemic, however with the unease and stress that someone is feeling during an emergency (hence the visit to CareSpot) the receptionist should be more empathetic, warm, welcoming and reassuring. She is the first face you see when you enter the facility and can set the tone for the rest of the visit. The Nurse Practitioner and the X Ray tech were kind but didn’t make up for the initial contact experience.
