I liked that I was able to make a same day appointment. Also, that I was seen quickly. Although I could not get into my regular physician, I still only paid my copay.

I came twice. My first experience should be noted to the staff that helped me that night. Without direct feedback, they may not even be aware of the events that occurred. I started to feel bad and wanted to ensure I do not infect my staff members or the immune-compromised patients I care for at work, so I went to get swabbed for the flu. It came back negative. The ARNP says I’m fine to go to work I just have a bad cold. My husband was just discharged earlier that day after having a heart stent. Needless to say, it was critical to know if I was contagious. I woke up the next morning feeling like a wrecking ball just hit me. I knew it was not safe to be around patients and my husband and insisted on going back to Care Spot to get swabbed again. I called and said I want to get retested. The girl that answered said, “I thought I had the flu, but it was just an upper respiratory infection”. I still insisted on coming in for a 2nd swab. I do not place blame on the team the night before, they did their job and the results were negative. What would be helpful is for them to know that there are times the results are negative and may need to be tested again. I heard this is more common than not. That being said, that is exactly how we end up with a pandemic where people did their due diligence to get tested and they were just sent away to touch and infect the world. A nice clause at the end of a negative result should be “Please come back to get tested if your symptoms get worse”.
